o-o-o-o-o-o মরা এই প্রস্তাবের অবতারণায় যে মতগুলি উদ্ধৃত করিয়াছি তাহার সকল গুলিই প্রায় বিদেশীয় পণ্ডিতের। এদেশীয় পণ্ডিতের মধ্যে অতি অল্প লোকেই এবিষয়ে হস্তক্ষেপ করিয়াছেন । যাহা হউক আমাদের দেশের প্রধান স্কলার (scholar) ডাক্তার রাজেন্দ্রলাল মিত্রের এতদ্বিষয়ক মতট প্রকাশ না করায় প্রস্তাবট এ পর্য্যন্ত অপূর্ণ রহিয়াছে বলিতে হইবে । সুতরাং এস্থলে তাহার মতটি প্রকাশ করিয়া আমরা প্রস্তাব সম্পূর্ণ করিবার ইচ্ছা করি। হিন্দীভাষার মূল নিরূপণ নামক প্রস্তাবেঙ্গ রাজেন্দ্র বাবু লিখিয়াছেন— “The question is one of great importance. It has already engaged the attention of some of the most distinguished scholars of Europe and it would be presumptuous on my part to dispose it off at the fag-end of. an article in a different subject. But as a native, who feels deeply interested in the prospect of the vernacular of his country, I can not allow this opportunity to pass without observing that the question has been hitherto discussed mainly, if not entirely, from an European standpoint.
