外fäf隐 4's নবীন সম্বাদপত্র। শুনা গেল ষে কলিকাতাব চোরবাগাননিবাসি শ্ৰীযুত মথুরামোহন মিত্র পাশী ও উর্দু ভাষাতে এক সম্বাদের পত্র স্বষ্টি করিয়াছেন সে পত্রের নাম সমস্থল আখবার ঐ পত্ৰ প্ৰতিসপ্তাহে প্ৰকাশ হুইবেক । তাহার ১ প্ৰথম সংখ্যা ১৮ জ্যৈষ্ঠ শুক্রবার প্রকাশ হইয়াছে ইহাতে অধিক সন্তোষ জন্সিয়াছে যেহেতুক মনুম্বোরদের জ্ঞানবৰ্দ্ধক বিষয়ের যত বৃদ্ধি হয় তত উত্তম । “সমসূল আখবার” প্রায় পাঁচ বৎসর চলিয়া লুপ্ত হয়। ইহার তিরোধানে ‘গবর্মেন্ট গেজেট’ (২১ মে ১৮২৭) দুঃখ প্ৰকাশ করিয়া লিখিয়াছিলেন :- We are sorry to find we have lost one of our sources of intelligence, by the discontinuance of the Persian Paper styled the Shens al Akhbar. The Conductor and Editor took his leave of an unthankful public, last week, in the following characteristic manner. "Bo it known to all men; that from the time this Paper, the Shenas a Akhbar, was established by me to the present day, which is now about five years, I have gained nothing by it except vexation and disappointment, notwith standing what idle and ignorant babblers may please to assert. The inability of the public in the present day to appreciate desert, and their indifference to the exhausting and painful exertions made in their cause, verify the verse : "I have consumed, and my flames have not been seen : like lamps in a moonlight night I have burnt away unheeded.' It is time, therefore, to desist, and withdrawing my hand from all further concern with this paper, I have determined to repose on the couch of conclusion.' We, of course, wish to be understood as bnfining our conjecture to the ignes minores, the Editors and Proprietors of the Native Papers which owe their institution, rather to the precocious imitation of English manners, than the wants of the people... অখিবারে শ্রীরামপুর ( সাপ্তাহিক ) । ৬ মে ১৮২৬ ৷৷ ১৮২৬ সনে শ্ৰীরামপুর মিশন “সমাচার দর্পণে’র ফাসী সংস্করণ প্ৰকাশ করিতে অগ্রসর হন। ২৫ মার্চ ১৮২৬ তারিখের ‘সমাচার দর্পণে’ মুদ্রিত নিম্নের “ইশতেহার’ হইতে পত্রিকা-প্রচারের উদ্দেশ্য জানা যাইবে :- এই সমাচার দর্পণ এক্ষণে বঙ্গদেশের তাবৎ জিলাতে ও অন্য২ স্থানে প্রেরিত হইতেছে তাহাতে দৰ্পণ পাঠক সকল লোক অনায়াসে নানাদেশীয় সমাচার অবগত হুইতেছেন এবং মূতন২ আইনও জ্ঞাত হইতে পরিবেন। কিন্তু ঐ সকল জিলাতে এবং পশ্চিমদেশে এমত অনেক লোক আছেন যাহারা বাঙ্গলা ভাষা জ্ঞাত নহেন তঁাহারা স্বেচ্ছাপূর্বক অনায়াসে দর্পণে অবলোকন করিতে সমর্থ হন না এবং দর্পণ্যদ্বারা যে সকল নুতন আইন প্রকাশিত হইবেক তাহাও অবগত হইতে পরিবেন না। অতএব সকল লোক যে অনায়াসে নানাদেশীয় সত্য সমাচার জানিতে পারেন এবং শ্ৰীশ্ৰীযুত কোম্পানি বাহাদুরের নূতন২ আইন যে অনায়াসে জ্ঞাত হইতে পারেন এই নিমিত্ত পারহিতাভিলাষি পরমকারুণিক শ্ৰীশ্ৰীযুত গবৰ্ণর জেনােরল বাহাদুর সর্বলোক হিতার্থে পারসি ভাষাতে এই সমাচার দর্পণের তর্জমা করিয়া ४वकाणं कठ्ठि अछूछा। कब्रिन्नाcछन ।
