385 Betrothment, in fact, constitutes marriage, though the marriage is not ir revocable and complete without performance of the fixed ceremoniest. I “The damsel, (indeed, ) 驚 hitshand shall die after troth verbally plighted, his brother shall take her in marriage according to this rule.” Manu, ch. 9. v. 69
