To improve the status of the Hospital Assistants the enhance. ment of their pay is a reform which is urgently called for and ought not to be lost sight of, and with this view we propose the introduction of the following scale which in our humble opinion will meet the requirements of the case to a great extent. - - 5th Grade— Rs. 5o 4th Grade— Rs. 75 3rd Grade— Rs.
