৭৪২ মহাত্মা রাজা রামমোহন রায়ের জীবনচরিত। Of the intellectual organs,the largest are individuality, language, comparison and causality. They are all well illustrated by his recorded character. His love of knowledge and his literary acquirements show the strength of individuality and language. The relevancy and acuteness of his reasonings resulted from causality and comparison, combined with language and individuality. The development of the Raja's veneration and wonder affords the key to his religious character; while it is apparent that these organs are inferior to benevolence and concientiousness, an inferiority which accords well with his roll as a religious reformer. His head and history concur in showing that intellect, Justice and independence had with him complete control over the sentiment of veneration. He seems never to have vencrated except in accordance with intellect and conscientiousness. The whole tendency of his mind was opposite to superstition and religious fanaticism. Wonder had but little sway. He submitted everything to test of consisteney and reason, while conscientiousness restrained him from running to wild and impracticable extremes in his projects of reform. On the whole, it seems that the science of Phrenology acquires no slight accession of strength from the illustrations deduced from the cerebral traits of this remarkable man. K. R. No,..........
