মেরী কার্পেণ্টারের সুদীর্ঘ কর্ম্মময় জীবন ৭০ বৎসর বয়সে এইরূপে শেষ হইল।
তাঁহার মৃত্যুর পর তাঁহার অমূল্য স্মৃতিরক্ষার্থ শ্রমজীবী বালকবালকাদিগের জন্য দুইটি আশ্রম স্থাপিত হয়। তাঁহার অসাধারণ জীবনের কার্যাবলীর একটি সংক্ষিপ্ত বিবরণ একটি প্রস্তর ফলকে খােদিত হইয়া ব্রিষ্টল্ নগরের উপা-সনালয়ে রক্ষিত হইয়াছে।
তাঁহার সহাধ্যায়ী বন্ধু ডাক্তার মার্টিনো প্রস্তর ফলকে খােদিত এই বিবরণ লিখিয়াছিলেন:
