とがbr8 রবীন্দ্ৰ-রচনাবলী রবীন্দ্ৰনাথের পরলোকগমনের পর লন্ডনে-স্থিত সোভিয়েট প্রতিনিধি মেইস্কি শ্রদ্ধানিবেদন উপলক্ষে লেখেন— May I express my profound grief at the passing of a great Indian writer and poet whose name was so familiar in my country and whose works were so popular with the masses of the Soviet People 2 মানুষের ধর্ম মানুষের ধর্ম ১৯৩৩ খৃস্টাব্দের মে মাসে কলিকাতা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় হইতে প্ৰথম প্ৰকাশিত । ইহার পর-পর তিনটি প্ৰবন্ধ ঐ বৎসরে যথাক্রমে ১৬, ১৮ ও ২০ জানুয়ারি তারিখে (৩, ৫ ও ৭ মাঘ ১৩৩৯) উক্ত বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে ‘কমলা বক্ততা” রূপে পঠিত হয় । পরিশিষ্টে মুদ্রিত মানবসত্য কমলা-বক্তৃতার অনুবৃত্তিরূপে শান্তিনিকেতনে কথিত এবং প্রবাসী পত্রের ১৩৪০ বৈশাখ ও জ্যৈষ্ঠ সংখ্যায় মুদ্রিত । প্রসঙ্গসূত্রে এই গ্রন্থের বক্তৃতাগুলির যোগ ১৯৩০ সনের হিবাট-বক্তৃতামালার সহিত । ঐ বক্তৃতা দেওয়া হয় ১৯৩০ মে মাসের ১৯, ২১ ও ২৬ তারিখে অক্সফোর্ডের ম্যাঞ্চেস্টার কলেজে । সেগুলি বিশেষভাবে সম্পাদনা করিয়া The Religion of Man গ্রন্থে সংকলনের সময় (১৯৩১) রচনা সম্পর্কে রবীন্দ্ৰনাথ ভূমিকায় বলেন : [these contain also the gleanings of my thoughts on the same subject from the harvest of many lectures and adresses delivered in different countries of the world over a considerable period of my life. The fact that one theme runs through all only proves to me that the Religion of Man has been growing within my mind as a religious experience and not merely as a philosophical subject. In fact, a very large portion of my writings, beginning from the earlier products of my immature youth down to the present time, carry an almost continuous trace of the history of this growth.
