Every family will do well to have a copy of it. 赛 Indian Messenger (July 11, 1897)-" ought to be on the book-shelf an every household in Bengal. The importance of such a book cannot be gainsaid. Mr. Day's manual, the first of its kind in Bengali, is well printed, nicely bound and moderately priced at a rupee." Indian Mirror (July 31, 1897)-"This is a Bengali book on nursing the sick. It gives clear directions as to what nurses should do in regard to the different ailments, which they are called upon to dea, with. Hints on Hygienic matters and the preparation of gruels and diet find a large place in the compilation. A list of domestic medicines forms the subjects of a separate chapter. The nearest relatigs or friends invariably attend on the sick in the Hindu household, and as they are not expected to possess the technical knowledge of the professional nurses, the book, under notice, zwill be found by them to bc of innuense value."
