In view of encouraging the vernacular languages, and of preserving a continuity of their study from the Middle Scholarship Examinations to the B.A. Examination, I beg to suggest that in the Entrance Examination candidates be examined in their own vernacular on text-books written in such verraculars in addition to the second classical languages in which they are at present examined.
