Members of the Civil Service on the Bengal Establishment, reported their arrival in Calcutta on the 4th in stant. The name of Diyanut Alli, Darogah of Sheikhpoorah, in Monghyr, who was promoted to the 2d grade on the 20th November 1844, was omitted in the List of I)arogahs of that grade, published in the Bengalee Government Gazette of the 11th March last. The Honourable the Court of Directors have permitted the Reverend J. T. Jones, B.A., late a Chaplain on the IBengal Establishment, to retire from the Company's Service, from the 1st March 1845. Mr. M. A. G. Shawe, Magistrate of Backergunge, for one month, on private affairs, making over charge of his office to Mr. R. R. Sturt, Collector, who will conduct the duties thereof im addition to his own during the absence of Mr. Shawe. Mr. R. Hampton, Magistrate of Jessore, for ten days, under Sectiom XI. of the Amended Absentee Rules, making over charge of his office to Mr. F. Lowth, Officiating Collector, who will conduct the duties thereof during the absence of Mr. Ilamp tolì. The remaining portion of the leave of absence for fifteen days, granted on the 7th March last, to Lalla Sunker Loll, Sudder Ameen of Shahabad, is rancelled. NOTIFICATION. The 10th May, 1845. Mr. F.
