He must possess a knowledge of the Princ iples of one of the Scien « es 3 Composition Ile must be able to translate into and compose in Sanscrit with facility aud cor Toctness Mode in which the Dramnations for Scholarships are to hi conducted Printed sets of questions, and the subject for an Dssav will be sent on the previous ily to the Examiners The Dxaminers will give out as many questions us tan easily bu answered in one d tv, nud seal up the remainder without communicating their contents to any one The students will not be allowed to communic ite with each other during the examination, and on that iccount will be placed at a proper distance from each other They will be required to answer the questions, and to write the Essay without any assist unte whitover, and to c insure this one of the Wembers of the Council will remun in the room and superintend during the whole examination At the hour fixed for the close of each day's examination, each student will deliver to the superintending Member of the Countil his answers or his Essly signed by himself The Member will immediatly put them all into an envelope and seal it up The answers and Essays will be opened and fully reported upon by the Laamuners who will carefully compare the answers and Essays, and will report tw w.hom, an thumr opımıom, the Scholurships should be awarded, and transmit their report together with all the answers and Essays, under stal to the Council for its final Resolution The Scholarships will be forfeited if the holders of the nu do not make a 1 easonable progi tss in their studies \n ex unin ition will take place for the purpose of ascertaining if the holders of Scholarships have made such reasunable progress This examination will be conducted in the same way, and w 1th all the samt precautions as the examinations for Scholarships The Examiners, in transmitting the auswers to the questions sent for this examination, will add any remarks of their own, and also the report of the Head Master as to the manner in which the holders of Scholarships have Londucted themselves in the course of the year [গবর্ণমেন্ট গেজেট ১৮৪২ । ১৩ সেপ্টেম্বর J וי ২ । তবঙ্গমা। এতদ্দেশীয় ভাষাহইতে সংস্কৃত ভাষাতে এবx সংস্কৃত ভাষাহইতে এতদ্দেশীয় ভাষাতে শুদ্ধকপে ভৱজমা কবিতে হইবেক । ৩। অস্কবিদ্য। চলিত অস্কবিদ্যাৰ মূলসূত্র জানিতে হইবেক । প্রধান বৃত্তি । ১। ব্যাকরণ । সামান্য কোন সংস্কৃত গ্রন্থ অনাযাসে তরঙ্গম ও ব্যাখ্যা কলিতে হক্টবেক । ১ । বিদ্য। কোন এক বিদ্যাল মূলসুত্র অবগত থাকিতে হইলেক । ৩। বাল্য বচন । সংস্কৃত ভ যাতে অন্যাসে এরR শুদ্ধলপে তব জমা ও বচনা কপি তে হক্টবেক । ছাত্রেব বুকি প্রাপণার্থ পরীক্ষা গ্রহণেব নিয়ম। এক প্রশ্ন এবং বচনাব নিমিক্স কোন এক বিষয় পৰীক্ষা কলণেব পূৰ্ব্ব দিবসে পরীক্ষক সাহেবেবদেৰ নিকটে পাঠান যাইবেক । এক দিনসেব মণ্যে স্ব চন্দে যত জিজ্ঞাসাব উল্লব দেওয়া যাইতে পাৰে তাহ পর্যীক্ষক সাহেলেব বিলি কবিয অবশিষ্ট পুনর্বাব মোহবাঙ্কিত কবিয বাৰ্থিলেন এবং তাত বি মধ্যে লিখিত বিষয় কোন ব্যক্তিকে জানাই বেন না । পরীক্ষা হওন সময়ে ছাত্রেরা পৰসপৰ লোন ব থাবার্জ। কহিবেন না এবং সেই নিমিৱ তাহাব উপযুক্তমতে পৃথক ২ স্থানে অম্ভব হইয়া বসিবেন । তাকাবা কাতাবে স্থানে সাহায্য না পাইবা ঐ তাবৎ ঞ্জি জ্ঞাসাল উক্টল লিখিলেন ও বচন প্রস্তুত কবি বেন এবং ইহাতে কোন কাপট্য না হয এ নিমিত্ত কৌন্সেলেব এক জন মেয়ব সাহেব পরীক্ষা গ্রহণের তরৎ, সময় ব্যাপিয়া ঐ কামবায থাকিয়া তত্তবাবধাবণ কবিবেন। প্রত্যেক দিবসেল পরীক্ষা শেষকরণেব নিলপিত সমযে প্রত্যেক ছাত্র কৌন্সেলেব তত্তবাবধাবক মেয়র সাহেবেব হস্তুে আপনার স্বাক্ষলিত এ জি জ্ঞাসাব উত্তর কিয়া বচনা অর্পণ কবিবেন । তাহাতে কোসেলেব মেম্বব সাহেব ঐ সকল উদ্ভবপ্রভৃতি খামের মধ্যে বাথিয় মোহবাঙ্কিত কবিবেন । পবে ঐ সকল উত্তব ও বচন পাঠ কবণার্থ তাহ খোলা যাইবেক এল৭ ঐ পরীক্ষক সাহেবের এ তাবৎ উক্লব ও বচন মনোযোগপূৰ্ব্বক ঐক্য কলিয়া তাহাব বিষয়ে সম্পূণ কপে বিপোর্ট কবিবেন এবথ তাহাবদেব বিবেচনায় যে ছাত্রব বৃত্তি প্রাপণোপযুক্ত তাহাব বিপোর্ট কৰিবেন এবং বিদ্যাধ্যাপনীয় কৌন্সেলেব নিকটে তাবৎ উত্তর ও বচন থামের মধ্যে মোহবাঙ্কিত কবিয আপনাবrদর নি পোটেব সঙ্গে পাঠাইবেন এবং ঐ কোন্সেল তদ্বিষয় নিশ্চয় কবিবেন । বৃত্তি প্রাপ্ত হইলে পব বৃত্তিভোগি ব্যক্তিব যদি উপযুক্ত মতে বিদ্যাবৃদ্ধি না হয় তবে ঐ বৃত্তি বহিত হইবেক । বৃত্তিভোগি ব্যক্তিব উপযুক্তমতে বিদ্যাবৃদ্ধি হইয়াছে কি না ইহাব নিশ্চয়কবণার্থ পশ্ৰীক্ষা হইবেক । এই পৰীক্ষাও বৃত্তি দানেৰ পৰীক্ষাব নিয়মমতে এবং তযুল্য সতর্কতাপূর্বক লওয়া যাইবেক । পরীক্ষক সাহেবেৰা এই পরীক্ষার নিমিক প্রেবিত জি ডাসাৰ উত্তৰ পাঠাইলে তাহাবা আপনাবদেব মত লিখি বেন এবং ঐ বৃত্তিভোগি ছাত্রেবণ সমুদায় বৎসরে যেরূপ আচৰণ কবিয়াছেন ভৱিষয়ে বিদ্যালয়েৰ প্রধান শিক্ষ কেব রিপোর্টও পাঠাইবেন।
