brኳ” বঙ্গের বাহিরে বাঙ্গালী । দিগের পাঠ্য স্বরূপ “সংস্কৃত-শিক্ষা”, মিডল ক্লাসের সংস্কৃত পাঠ্য গদ্য পদ্য সংগ্রহ ও সংস্কৃত খেজুব্যাকরণ” প্ৰণয়ন করিয়া এ প্রদেশীয় শিক্ষা বিভাগের একটি অভাব দূর করিয়াছেন। এই সকল পুস্তক বহুদিন হইতে বিদ্যালয় সমূহে পঠিত হইতেছে। এসম্বন্ধে ১৮৯২ অব্দে তৎকালীন ডাইরেক্টর হােয়াইট সাহেব পণ্ডিত মহাশয়কে লিখিয়াছিলেন :- ? ' Dear Sir, – send a line to acknowledge the good work you have done at Muir College since I have been in charge of the Department of Public Instruction. You have given us valuable assistance also in preparation of Sanskrit courses and in the discussions in the faculty of arts in the University Curriculum.' পণ্ডিত মহাশয় বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের সংক্রান্ত সকল সভাসমিতিতে স্বাধীন ভাব ধারণ করিলেও তাঁহার অপক্ষপাত সমালোচনা ও সৎপরামর্শ সৰ্ব্বাস্থলেই আদৃত হইয়াছে। গফ সাহেবের অধ্যক্ষতা কালে জব্বদস্ত ডাইরেক্টর অব পাবলিক ইনস্ট্রকৃশন মিষ্টার লুইস যে নিদর্শনপত্র লিখিয়াছেন তাহাতে পণ্ডিত মহাশয়ের গুণাবলী এবং শিক্ষা বিভাগে তাহার খ্যাতি ও প্ৰতিপত্তির প্ৰেমাণ অধিকতর পরিস্ফুট হইয়াছে। পত্ৰখানি এই ;- " I have known Pandit Adityaram Bhattacharya, M.A., for more than eight years. During this time he has held the Professorship of Sanskrit in the Muir Central College, Allahabad, retiring from the service of Government on attaining the age of 55 in November 1902. Some 5 years before his retirement his eminence as a Sanskrit scholar was appropriately recognised by the conferring on him of the title of Mahamahopadhyaya. But the Pandit has not shown himself to be merely a scholar. As a teacher he has always devoted himself heartily to his work, and his efforts to lead others into the paths of learning have met with deserved success. He could also be relied upon to do honestly and well any work for the College or for the Department, for which his qualifications fitted him. In every thing he worked with the same conscientious spirit, whether with or without remuneration. His services as a member of the Provincial Text Book Committee have been particularly generous and valuable;
