Those words have helped me much. They expressed a thought I was trying, just before I read them, to arrive at more clearly than before. Our Theism should indeed try to make into one great harmonious whole all we find in God's wonderful world, for is not all, save our sin, from God? And this, to me, is the great beauty and strength of theism that it helpes me to feel how all science, all knowledge, all social improvement, all we do or learn, may partake of God. We are to develop harmoniously all parts of our nature in due proportion, not to dwarf one for the other's sake for has n ot God endowed us wi th all these qualities?
