I admit that History, Geography and Mathematics are learnt more easily and within a shorter space of time, when these subjects are taught through the medium of the vernacular languages. But experience has clearly shewn that this apparent advantage is of no real value when it is gained at the expense of English. (2) That I approve of the proposal to make the study of Bengali a part of the curriculum in the F. A. and B. A.
