This arrangement is to continue until suitable books appear in the Bengali Language on the subjects of History Mathematics and Philosophy that can properly displace the English books or those subjects in the said courses. It is hoped that a time will come when English could be taught only as a language and the subjects in the vernacular to all Entrance, F. A., and B. A., candidates belonging to the Bengali race without injury to Sankrit as it is now thought. As the Bengalis are of weak physique the acquisition of such a foreign language as the English totally disimilar to their instinctive acts as a great strain upon their brain and is fast diministing their longivity. It is highly to be regretted that the larger portion of a Bengalis, life short as it has become should be spent in learning a foreign language. Yours faithfully, RAJ NARAIN BOSE. P.
