The valuable landed property comprising the "Chandney Chowk" and its neighbourhood belongs to the members of the Mitra family, and Babu Vihari Lala holds a seven-anna share. Other properties and his various business interests bring in equally important ravenues and make him one of the wealthiest men in a city where wealthy men are numerous, On the occasion of great religious solemnities and festivals that mark the turning points of life, the dates big with fate, Babu Vihari Lala has always acted in accordance with ancient Hindu tradition as befits the guardian of Shri Madan Mohan, Of this wealth, he has made, and makes the very best use.
